Country Inn & Suites can best be summed up as a 3 star hotel in a 5 star location - that was how it was presented to me before my stay there and I think I would agree. The location is great. Country Inn & Suites is located right on the canal so it’s a great place to watch the ships move. You’ll love the greatest views of the Pacific Ocean entrance of the Panama Canal and the Bridge of the America’s and the ships as they move through the Canal.

A highlight of Country Inn & Suites is the promenade which is where you’ll meet up with anyone staying in the area or coming to this area for their run. It’s a long 2-mile scenic boardwalk perfect to stroll or jog or run. Deep sea fishing is also available from vendors right off the boardwalk. Golf can be arranged at nearby courses and Country Inn & Suites receive a discount.
The accommodations at the hotel are typical of a Country Inn & Suite - middle of the road but I found the rooms very comfortable. The hotel is also handicap friendly. The hotel features 159 rooms and suites all with balconies
Included in your stay is free internet service and a free breakfast buffet which is really quite good. Onsite you will find a T.G.I. Friday’s restaurant also.
The hotel features an outdoor pool and heated whirlpool where you can relax and watch the action of the canal. Truly, this is a highlight and one I never tired of.
The hotel offers coin-op laundry facilities which is a bonus. The staff is more bilingual than a lot of other hotels so if you’re not fluent in Spanish, this is an added bonus.
I think this hotel is a great choice to stay near Panama City and enjoy the Canal and all of the attractions around this area. A sample of half-day nearby attractions are Partial Panama Canal transits, City Tour and Panama Viejo, Scuba Diving - dive in 2 oceans on the same day! Full-day tours include El Valle, Indian Market, Canopy Adventure and Embera Indians & Tropical Forest Tour.
