Riu Santa Fe Review
Riu Santa Fe is the new addition to the Riu Palace Los Cabos. This property has been built up right beside and to the street back of Riu Palace so that they are located together. Guests of Riu Palace can use the facilities of Riu Santa Fe but Riu Santa Fe guests may not go over to Riu Palace properties.
Riu Santa Fe is built very much to blend into it’s natural surroundings with a Mexican hacienda feel and lots of desert and cactus gardens. Personally I like the feel of the resort.
Most of the rooms here are garden view or resort view and can be located anywhere along the internal area. The resort is large – with 900 rooms so you have to be willing to walk a bit if you book into this resort. In some ways it doesn’t appear to be overly large but there are beachfront pools, restaurants and bars and then ones toward the middle of the resort and then again amenities in the lobby so it can be a bit of a walk to use them all – and they’re all worth using!
Ocean front and ocean view accommodations will put you in the best ocean location but farthest from the lobby.
Food is very good here also – lots of choices.
I think this resort is a great value. The price is lower than I would expect it to be for the quality and it’s location is second to none – on the prized Medano Beach with views of Los Arcos and the Sea of Cortez and all the activity of the Cabo San Lucas Pier.
