Testimonials of Royal Solaris
Sharon,
Sorry for the delay. Things have been hectic and never seems to be enough time to get to things.
First off, thanks so much for setting us up in what were probably a couple of the best rooms in the place. Ocean view with a covered balcony! The rooms and service throughout the week were first class. The entire family had a great week. The entertainment staff was so personable and the talent displayed at their evening shows was surprising.
The only hitch we ran into was when our flight arrival was delayed about 90 minutes. That airport was unlike any we have ever seen before and even though we were expecting chaos it still caught us a little off guard. When we got outside and scanned the crowd of shuttle drivers with their placards we could not find the Sol-Ha driver. All the pre-trip communications said that they would only stay 45 minutes past due time so we figured we were on our own. Within seconds we were hurried off to the side by a man who seemed genuine and willing to help us get transport to the hotel. It ended up with a ride in a car at 15.00 per person. Later conversations with the Sol-Ha rep at the hotel tried to assure us that his man was still there and if we had just sought help from one of their "friends" with another shuttle service we would have eventually found each other even though none of the four of us spotted him. I'm now convinced that the " 45 minute " warning is to keep people from lingering in the duty-free shop but maybe you ( and Sol-Ha ) could inform other first-timers that in the event of a delayed arrival to just simply hang with the other shuttle drivers and seek their help. It was only a small hitch and in no way put any hugh damper on the week.
Thanks again and we will be sure to pass your name and info as a contact to any friends who may be planning a similar trip in the future.
