Best Beaches & All Inclusive Resorts

Best Beaches & All Inclusive Resorts

Summer is right around the corner and one thing on everyone’s mind is a summer beach vacation.  Whether you’re actually going to be able to take one or not this year, we’re still thinking about it.

Where is the best beach you’ve visited?  Was it in the United States or Mexico or Punta Cana or Jamaica?  Each area has their best beach.  For me, I loved Sanibel Island in Florida.  I’m a seashell nut!  I love Seven Mile Beach in Negril.  I love Maroma Beach in the Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Today I received an e-mail from a guest that just returned from Maroma Beach on the Mayan Riviera and it is making me dream of beaches again!

Maroma Beach is a fairly small beach area located approximately 30 minutes from Cancun.  I think this is one of the most beautiful, out of the way beaches you’ll find.  The beach is long and wide and the entry to the water is shallow with no huge crashing waves. Just a quiet wave with enough power to keep the beach clean and give you some fun swimming but not powerful enough to be dangerous – perfect for swimming and playing in the water.

All Inclusive Resorts on Maroma Beach

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

Secrets Maroma is one of two all inclusive resorts on Maroma Beach.  Secrets Maroma offers so much besides the fantastic beach. Guests enjoy great food, modern, upscale accommodations, a la carte dining, premium liquor and more.  Of all three of the resorts listed here, Secrets Maroma combines an upscale resort with a crowd that is active and fun.

You’ll love the modern suites. The most popular suites especially in summer are the swim up suites where you slip off of your deck and into a common lazy river pool.  It’s just a great way to spend some time away from the main pool but still lazing in the sun and water.  For those of us who love a good spa, Secrets Maroma will not disappoint.  The spa is amazing and a must do for anyone needing a bit of relaxation.  Secrets Maroma is very popular for honeymoons and books up very early so plan early, place your deposit and guarantee your space.  You won’t be disappointed!

El Dorado Maroma

El Dorado Maroma is a quite, romantic adult only all inclusive resort right on Maroma Beach.  With just 72 suites, this resort is a boutique all inclusive with very personalized service and attention to each guest.  I think it’s the perfect all inclusive resort for quiet rejuvenation and attentive, personal service.

I love El Dorado Maroma’s weekly fish market grill.  Choose your own freshly caught fish as it’s brought in and have it grilled right on the beach for you.

Suites combine modern design with tradition décor making you feel like you’re in someone’s beautiful Mexican home.  All suites are located minutes from the beach and whether you choose the Beachfront Suite or the Infinity Pool Jacuzzi Suite (your very own infinity pool, outdoor shower and Jacuzzi for two) or the amazing Honeymoon Suite with views like no other room, outdoor shower, Jacuzzi for two and amazing private terrace, you’ll love every minute of being here.

El Dorado is known for their gourmet all inclusive theme meaning that they strive to make every experience – accommodations, service, food, drinks – all of gourmet quality.  This is the perfect romantic boutique honeymoon, anniversary or rejuvenation all inclusive resort escape.

Catalonia Playa Maroma

If you are traveling with family and looking for an out-of-the-way  all inclusive resort with an amazing beach, check out Catalonia Playa Maroma.  Located directly on the beach beside Secrets Maroma Beach.

Catalonia Playa Maroma is built ocean front but rooms are located between the lobby and the beach allowing guests to interact with a bit of nature also. The main pool is located near the beach and there is ample areas both by the pool and beach to enjoy the sun.

The resort features 376 rooms decorated in modern Mexican décor. Privileged Superior rooms will give you access to the Privileged Lounge on the beach as well as El Pajarito and Terrace Tapas Lounge which you will love.

Guests enjoy 4 restaurants and 3 bars.  There are some restrictions on a la carte dining and all liquor is not premium but the price point on this resort makes it very attractive for a family vacation as well as a more budget minded couples get away.

This resort is an excellent deal all year round but in winter months it books up very quickly so you’ll need to make your reservations early to get space!
